A downloadable game for Windows

UNCANNY

Somebody in this crowd isn't human.

You're a surveillance officer on a balcony above a busy city plaza, with a pair of binoculars. Intel says androids are hiding among the citizens, and they're trying to hack the plaza terminal.

Your job is to watch people. Study how they walk, talk, dance and blink. Whistle at the crowd and see who looks up. Drop a coin and see who notices. Put some music on and see who can't keep the beat. When you're sure, tag them.

But be careful. Some citizens are just weird. The man marching in perfect straight lines might be ex-army. The woman who ignores your whistle might be wearing headphones. Zoom in and read their file before you tag anyone. HR has been very clear about this.

How to play:

  • Watch the crowd from your balcony and look for anything that's not quite human.
  • Poke the crowd: whistle, drop a coin, or start the music, and watch how people react.
  • Zoom in to read someone's dossier and study their face.
  • Tag the androids. Tag a citizen three times and you're fired.
  • Stop the hack. If an android finishes hacking the terminal, your shift is over.

Stare at someone through the binoculars long enough and they'll notice you. Most people wave, get flustered, or shake their fist. Some just... stare back.

Controls:

Mouse Look around
Right mouse Zoom in with the binoculars
Left mouse (while zoomed) Tag a suspect
Q Whistle
